When Barbie’s go Wild and Be Ready to go Forward

Posted on February 28, 2007. Filed under: General |

The stock market springing back from the crash dive of 27 February regained about 54 or so points to leave some folks happy for the most part, as other markets still rattled traded with nervousness. I stated in an earlier blog those Chinese government officials who had sparked the earlier plunge; could not and should [...]

Splurging Takes a Plunge in More Ways than One

Posted on February 27, 2007. Filed under: General |

You can bet more than a few fund managers, stock brokers and others involved in stocks are taking a breather; and peering at what’s left in their “rainy day” and bonus funds after the dazzling 416 point drop that apparently started in China. The Chinese government trying to dampen the enthusiasm and hard work of [...]

When Bad Guys Make a Run for It and Lose

Posted on February 26, 2007. Filed under: General |

Working in a Cop Shop, puts a perspective on my job that many don’t get to see. Police exist because the bad guys do, and it’s that simple. Crime occurs and someone seeks help and where do they turn for help? To the police officer of course, who takes the report and will ask clarifying [...]

US Manufactures Too Slow for Change

Posted on February 25, 2007. Filed under: Blogroll |

American’s cringe when they visit the gas pump, with $2 a gallon common in many areas of the country the disaffection with SUV’s grow by leaps and bound; the auto manufactures still shove huge pickup trucks and Sport Utilities out the factory doors in hopes of making the usual sells. However many dealership lots are [...]

When the Man goes Grocery Shopping

Posted on February 24, 2007. Filed under: General |

Let’s face the facts; women do the primary food shopping in most of today’s households. Men, well they sit back and relax to wait for the better-half to bring the food home. My mother who is 75 years old did most of the shopping until recently and now I am the one to head off [...]

When a Little Patience Works

Posted on February 21, 2007. Filed under: Blogroll |

We have all had those days where one is hunched over the steering wheel fuming at the next vehicle ahead, sometimes out loud with windows closed you urge them to get moving.

Look at our commutes, whether they are morning or evening; and you will see the same thing. A driver trying to squeeze through the [...]

The Illegal’s: Are we being fair?

Posted on February 17, 2007. Filed under: Blogroll |

9/11/01, not a happy memory for anyone, as a nation rocked to its core sought to discover how the attack had been carried out. In the years that have since passed, the focus on immigration has been raised to a high level of attention and the focus now is on illegal’s that crossed the US [...]

Rewards that should Never Expire

Posted on February 16, 2007. Filed under: Blogroll |

I think a lot of us have seen those silly, dumb and brainless credit card commercials that urge to have “their” card in your wallet so that you will never have to experience the unpleasant experience of have your points expiring or have blackout dates. I am not going to offer any a free plug [...]

When it’s Broke, Look at the Hidden Settings

Posted on February 15, 2007. Filed under: General |

Earlier I wrote about my iTunes being broken. It is no fun when you can’t get new tunes. Having spent the better part of two days and looking for a solution to my problem, I pondered what had changed on the computer.

Internet Explorer went away and replaced by Internet Explorer 7, I had not accessed [...]

Oh Nuts! My ITunes is Broke!

Posted on February 14, 2007. Filed under: General |

Looking forward to getting a couple of new tunes for the IPod Nano, I happily connected to the ITunes store and made a couple of selections then clicked the purchase button. No joy on download. An error box appears and states “Unknown Error-9808, connection has timed out…”

WTF?

I thought, “Ok, so the connection timed out, but [...]

    • Finding the Comfort Zone October 20, 2009
So with October coming to an end, one finds the weather wackier than normal. We were hitting the low 30’s in parts of Atlanta where the temperature is not supposed to see past the 50 degree mark.  I am of course not being helped by the radical shift in temperatures with my rheumatoid arthritis kicking into [...]
