Sunday to Worship and Debugging iTunes Yet Again

Posted on September 30, 2007. Filed under: Blogroll |

The cool weather has helped with sleeping, and awakening refreshed I retrieved the morning paper then had sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast. Starting the laundry before heading to church, I got ready to go then headed out for the 11 AM service.

Worship went well, the service fairly crowded but not overly so. The church [...]

Saturday a Day to Relax and Escape

Posted on September 29, 2007. Filed under: Blogroll |

Comfortable and cool, Saturday began quietly with reading the newspaper and catching up on the local weekend television news before heading out to take care of some odd and ends. With the lack of rain, there is no need for cutting the grass even if I had wanted to. The bum shoulder, still aching from [...]

Uh People Where is the Water and Internet Dating Does One Really Get Lucky

Posted on September 28, 2007. Filed under: General |

It is Friday and there are people who do not believe that there is any watering restriction, so why is Northern Georgia in a Level 4 drought alert with a mandatory no watering ban in place? One only needs to look at Lake Lanier and Lake Altoona to see how bad things are. Of course, [...]

Wrong Way to Start and Court Day

Posted on September 27, 2007. Filed under: Blogroll |

It is something that can be frightening to see coming towards you and that is a pair of headlights. What could have been a horrendous start to Atlanta’s morning commute on Interstate 75 was prevented thanks to the actions of B.J. Jackson, a driver for the Cobb County Transit Authority who upon seeing a driver [...]

Middle Week and When One Goes Too Fast

Posted on September 26, 2007. Filed under: Blogroll |

Wednesday morning came and with it was the news of the General Motors and UAW strike was over. Someone with some common sense found the middle ground before too much damage done to both the company and the union. I set about getting the recycles ready to go for pickup and did not have a [...]

Rehabilitation on the Shoulder and Wacky Day at Work

Posted on September 25, 2007. Filed under: Blogroll |

I headed for the rehabilitation center where Kelly the rehab specialist assisted with working the shoulder muscles in an attempt to help provide some relief for the torn rotator cuff. I spent about 45 minutes working on new exercises that approach the action of the muscles in the shoulder differently. One thing I would have [...]

Usual Start and Harsh Reality for Ahmadinejad

Posted on September 24, 2007. Filed under: Blogroll |

Monday morning came and so did the humidity. Arriving at work, I started with getting the weekend mail sorted then started assisting the influx of people coming to pay tickets because Monday evening we would be having court. In between, I was entering accident reports and of course, we had the comical reports when read [...]

Sunday’s Musings and So Begins New Week

Posted on September 23, 2007. Filed under: Blogroll |

The start to Sunday was warm with a bit of heavy mist and overcast weather. The newspaper carrier did not double the plastic covering the paper, but I got to it before it became wet. Having ham biscuits and gravy for breakfast, I then caught up on the local news. The biggie was of course [...]

Out for Breakfast and Weekend to Rehab

Posted on September 22, 2007. Filed under: Blogroll |

Saturday morning came with a lazy start. I started the day by taking my mother out to breakfast by going to IHOP. Call it what you will but she wanted a birthday breakfast so she got one. Afterward, we headed for Quick Trip a local gas station change to refuel the Chevrolet Cobalt before shopping [...]

Friday Comes and Celebrating a Birthday

Posted on September 21, 2007. Filed under: Blogroll |

I started Friday with the rehab visit, spending about an hour working on the rotator cuff. With the therapist providing guidance, I did my first extreme stretches today. After finishing up, I headed off to work and one the way stopped at a local Hallmark store. As I discovered, still closed and would not open [...]

    • Finding the Comfort Zone October 20, 2009
So with October coming to an end, one finds the weather wackier than normal. We were hitting the low 30’s in parts of Atlanta where the temperature is not supposed to see past the 50 degree mark.  I am of course not being helped by the radical shift in temperatures with my rheumatoid arthritis kicking into [...]
