So with Spring Comes Pollen and Other Nonsense
It is much warmer on Wednesday but we have pollen and lots of it coming from the pine trees. My Versa is covered with it and as I head off to work I leave a small cloud behind me. Gas prices are holding steady at least in my part of town, the highest of course is the Shell station sitting at $3.299 a gallon. An article detailing the cost of gas and gas stations struggling to make ends meet caught my eye this morning. Many owners are only making profits when they sell coffee and other in store products. So we can see that the oil companies with their extra record profits, who have to spend so much to make the gas, should consider not buying so much oil if they can’t refine enough of it.
With spillover of the banking and finance of homes the next industry to be hit is the automotive industry. Most folks don’t have the spare cash to buy a car or truck outright off the car lot and so depend on financing. Well the auto financing segment has been hit hard too and some who have been leasing rather expensive cars are finding others to assume their leases while getting into smaller cars. The hype of some dealers suggesting to those who are upside down but want a new car or truck can get into one of their dreams or I would have to say now nightmare by coming in and the dealer will pay off the vehicle no matter what you owe and of course the itsy bitsy wording at the bottom of the advertising or the speed talker if heard on a radio helps disguise the truth that what you owed on the old vehicle gets rolled into the new vehicle.
Too many fall for it and will find themselves stuck into a loan that will never be worth less than the vehicle; one could call this a upside down roll-over loan that keeps getting bigger and one is stuck with making payments of vehicles that are not even worth the loan value when new.
The trucker’s protest was pretty much a bust just about everywhere. The whole thing was poorly organized and since the strike was not supported by major trucking companies the independent truckers were left to their own devices. Better luck next time guys and gals.
Finally we have spam, and a spammer who does not know how to cut and paste his messages e-mailed a bunch of proposals. Based on the reply e-mail the sender is somewhere in Russia, and needs some serious instruction on how to properly spam and not leave other spammers with egg on their faces.

Ok besides needing to learn how to cut and paste they need spelling lessons too. Still this is the funniest scam spam I have seen in a long while. So all of you Russian spammers, please find this person and give them very important English lessons for the sake of the fatherland’s reputation.
Finally another FedEx scam, where the sender tries to have you send $185 to pay for shipping costs and storage costs of an envelope containing a vast amount of wealth. Sadly there in no shipment and the money will end up in someone’s bank account and you will never see it again so in essence don’t fall for the scam or be a willing partner to the scam that if it does contain some kind of check consider it bogus.

Many spelling errors, syntax errors all do exist in the above e-mail. Looks like the scammers have transitioned to e-mail servers based in Europe, however it could be a mix of Russian and or Nigerian scammers trying to scam us out of money. Either way it is bogus.
Have a great week and of course always consider any e-mail from an unknown sender with a grain of salt; especially if it is too good to be true.
