Conserving and having a Sandwich Lunch

Posted on February 25, 2009. Filed under: Blogroll | Tags: , , , |

Conservative and cutting back are the themes these days. It is just about the only way to go, and this week despite the winter chill I have been riding the Burgman to and from work.
I have gone back to the old tried and true bologna sandwich for lunch a couple of times of week to [...]

Cool Week But Not So for Stupid People

Posted on February 21, 2009. Filed under: Blogroll |

Many are perhaps giving a sigh of relief for the moment since rumors began flying that a couple of banks were going to be nationalized. That did not happen but another investment scam was uncovered during the week further rattling the shaky stock markets and driving many towards gold, which blew past $1,000.00 an ounce [...]

So the Bill is Signed and other Nonsense

Posted on February 17, 2009. Filed under: Blogroll |

Well this week started a bit weird for me as I forgot that Monday was a legal holiday for the city. I had a doctor’s appointment early in the morning before work and so after going to it I headed for and arrived at work only to find I am the only person there besides [...]

Fixing the Burgman and Putting on the Modulators

Posted on February 14, 2009. Filed under: Blogroll | Tags: , , , , |

Saturday morning and I am preparing for tearing down the Burgman to replace the damaged fairing.
This is not going to be as simple as one might think, it is like a giant puzzle with a bunch of tiny connecting and securing screws.
While the tear down is for replacing the damaged fairing, I am upgrading the [...]

Week Winds Down

Posted on February 12, 2009. Filed under: Blogroll |

I was surprised to see the part for the Burgman sitting on the front porch on Wednesday evening. After checking the Tupperware as we call it, the panel was put aside in a safe place until I can install it on Saturday. By Thursday morning, Lenscrafters called saying they had to have me select a [...]

Stimulating the Economy in My Way

Posted on February 9, 2009. Filed under: Blogroll |

Stimulating the economy is important, but not in the way I really wanted to do it.  On Saturday, while running some errands on the Burgman, I took a hit on the fairing of the scoter.
The brief impact for what it was worth punched a nice ragged hole in the left side of the fairing, the [...]

Stimulating an Economy While Upgrading the Burgman

Posted on February 5, 2009. Filed under: Blogroll | Tags: , , , |

I have wanted to do some modifications to the Suzuki Burgman that I have and it is to do more with the safety aspect of making the motorcycle and me more visible to those around us on the road.
I had looked at various types of modifications, one of which is the modulation of the headlights. [...]

Anxiety, Love It Hate It But It is All Around Us For Better or for Worse

Posted on February 4, 2009. Filed under: Blogroll |

Anxiety, we see a lot of it lately. It is just about everywhere we turn. Loss of jobs hitting everywhere, and we have the banks trying their best to go hog wild. Many don’t think it is fair for President Barack Obama to restrict how much an executive gets in pay; however I believe it [...]

So It’s Winter

Posted on February 2, 2009. Filed under: Blogroll |

The weather warmed up sufficiently enough for me to take an extended ride on the Burgman. It felt good, even though I did wear the exposure suit to keep warm because of the temperatures. I shot some fresh video, managed to catch a couple of goof balls screwing up.

By the time Sunday rolled around, it [...]

    • Finding the Comfort Zone October 20, 2009
So with October coming to an end, one finds the weather wackier than normal. We were hitting the low 30’s in parts of Atlanta where the temperature is not supposed to see past the 50 degree mark.  I am of course not being helped by the radical shift in temperatures with my rheumatoid arthritis kicking into [...]
