This week has been filled with a bit too much drama. First, Farah Fawcett at age 62 looses her battle with cancer and now with have the “King of Pop” Michael Jackson who apparently suffers cardiac arrest and goes bye-bye at age 50, sending the world into a tizzy.
I will not add to the already [...]

Devoting Forms

Posted on June 24, 2009. Filed under: Blogroll | Tags: , , , |

Devotion to another takes many forms. My two dogs show it by becoming inseparable at times when we are home. Janelle very possessive, never strays far and when it comes to the bed is a constant companion who when my mother rises from her bed, will leave to take a potty break then will quickly [...]

Narrow the Nose and Sharing the Road

It is perhaps for some a dreaded word to hear, “Sleep Apnea” a lot of folks suffer from it including me. I had decided the time was right to get a specialist to look into my sleepiness at work, mind you I would be getting around what I thought was around 8 hours of sleep [...]

Driving with Caution and Prices Heading Up

Posted on June 14, 2009. Filed under: Blogroll | Tags: , , |

When it comes to riding and driving on the roads, some take it for granted. It is a privilege, many abuse from time to time. This weekend I was doing some local riding.
I had needed to get a summer riding helmet, since my full-face helmet in 90-degree weather is like living in a portable oven [...]

We are starting to see the creep in oil prices, just as the summer rolls around but then again is that not the case each year?
This of course comes on the heels of the sale to Fiat, Chrysler that is now 789 billion dollars debt free. Fiat, a small carmaker that once was the brunt [...]

Posted on June 8, 2009. Filed under: Blogroll | Tags: , , , |

Well the month of June has arrived; it has become ho-hum to me. There has been much to do made about the bankruptcy of both Chrysler and General Motors. The State of Indiana standing in the way of the sale to Fiat of Chrysler, because they would be in the loss column of nearly 6 [...]

When things go broke, fix it right and watching the bottom line

I had hoped that the visit to the local dealer would have been enough to fix the power steering loss suffered by my mother’s 2005 Chevy Cobalt. However, Sunday afternoon she experienced three additional failures all occurring while the vehicle was being driven straight and at normal speeds.
After a hectic scramble to the dealer on [...]

    • Finding the Comfort Zone October 20, 2009
So with October coming to an end, one finds the weather wackier than normal. We were hitting the low 30’s in parts of Atlanta where the temperature is not supposed to see past the 50 degree mark.  I am of course not being helped by the radical shift in temperatures with my rheumatoid arthritis kicking into [...]
